Net Zero
Decarbonise Crown UK & Ireland as far as possible against a clear road map towards net zero for Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.
We have a Net Zero target for Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2040 relative to a 2019 baseline with interim targets of 45% reduction by 2025 and 65% by 2030. By the end of 2024, we achieved a 54.4% reduction in these emissions against a 2019 baseline, exceeding our target.
We are provisionally reporting on four Scope 3 categories in our Carbon Reduction Plan. However, we have partnered with the accounting platform, Normative, to help collate, analyse and report on carbon data globally, so these figures are subject to change.
Circular economy
Develop the circular economy philosophy across all business operations through service innovation
The circular economy is a core part of our business, and we are already successfully delivering circular services and reducing environmental impacts for our clients through a range of initiatives.
Launched in 2026, Crown UKI’s Circular Economy Framework strengthens our approach to sustainable resource use. It provides a clear plan to embedding circular economy principles across our operations and services.
The Framework aligns with our 3‑Pillar Strategy and complements our Carbon Reduction Plan, underpinning a consistent and credible approach to embedding circularity across all Crown UKI brands.

Natural resources
Minimise consumption of natural resources by reducing usage, maximising ruse, eliminating wastage and sourcing sustainably.
We are building a clearer understanding of how our operations impact natural resources, including the effects of our procurement and waste management processes. This insight enables us to identify opportunities to reduce resource consumption.
Our approach to resource consumption already includes targeted interventions to minimise waste, increase recycling rates and address our packaging usage.
Our circular economy framework formalises this commitment, guiding use to minimising the use of virgin resources, extend the life of materials and promote reuse wherever possible.
