United States: TPS registration for Ukrainian nationals

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced that registration for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Ukrainians opened on April 19, 2022. Ukrainian nationals must show that they have resided in the U.S. continuously since April 11, 2022, and they have been in the U.S. since April 19, 2022.

The registration for the TPS is until October 19, 2023. Travelers who have entered the country after April 11, 2022, are not eligible for TPS.

United Arab Emirates: Residence permit for Ukrainian nationalsDubai, UAE

Ukrainian nationals can apply for a residency visa for one year in the UAE. To be eligible for the residency permit, they must have:

  • Entered the country before the war began.
  • A copy of their passport.
  • A medical report.
  • A copy of a health insurance policy.
  • Their Emirates ID application form.

Those who have been in the UAE for more than a month are exempt from paying overstay fines.
