China - Newly designed Invitation Letter of Duly Authorized Unit launched

The Municipal Commission of Commerce has recently released a newly designed Invitation Letter of Duly Authorized Unit for sponsoring companies applying for Z (Work), M (Business) or F (Exchange) Visas. No official announcement was made but the following changes are effective immediately:
1. The new letter has a set of 18 digits and a barcode on the top right corner.
2. The authority requires that all relevant visa applications are submitted using the new letter. Using the old letter may cause delays or rejection of the application. Sponsoring companies must ensure that they get the new letter ahead of visa application lodgment.
