Women and international assignments

Joanne Danehl, Global Intercultural and Language Training Practice Leader, was recently interviewed by HR Magazine for a piece entitled “Women of the world: global mobility and gender.”

In the article, Joanne highlights some of the factors preventing women from going on international assignments. She commented: “Research shows that female leaders feel an obligation to balance work and domestic responsibilities.”
