Singapore reduces time frame for address updates

MOM have recently come across cases whereby these work pass holders have changed their residential address but not updated MOM. Some have also been found to be living in overcrowded houses. Others have declared that they are temporarily residing in commercial premises that are not meant for residential purposes and have not updated their permanent residential address.

Key considerations

EP and S pass holders can log in to EP Online eService to update their residential address.

These work pass holders may be penalized if they fail to update their residential address within the stipulated time frame. Repeat offenders may have their work passes cancelled.

Companies are advised to reiterate to their employees the subletting requirements under the Housing and Development Board (HDB) and Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA).
