Hungary changes foreign employee hiring process

Budapest, HungaryHungary has removed the requirement for a labor market test as part of the process required for hiring foreign employees as long as the population of non-EU employees is lower than 10 percent. This change in regulation is expected to save approximately 10 days in the application process.
To avoid the test, companies will need to provide the following information on a quarterly basis:
I.        Total number of employees (Hungarian citizens and foreigners)
II.      Total number of non-EU employees who have a work permit
If the labor market test is not needed, employees can apply for a residence permit for employment purpose.
