CERC 2014 Conference explores talent mobility in the new world of work

This year, the Canadian Employee Relocation Council’s annual conference meeting was held in the mountains at North America’s premiere destination ski resort, Whistler Blackcomb, in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada. From September 21 – 23, 2014, the CERC 2014 Conference, “Talent Mobility: A Force of Change in a New World of Work,” brought together several hundred delegates from across Canada and the United States, relocation industry professionals eagerly seeking fresh ideas, creative innovations and expert-driven analysis. In today’s modern economies, the importance of mobility to address talent needs worldwide has never been greater. In addition to notable speakers, the conference included a leaders’ panel, convening some of the best minds in the industry to explore the convergence of mobility in a knowledge-based economy.  This year’s discussion, Mobility Insights, included Bill Tam, CEO of the BC Technology Industry Association; Seth Mattison, keynote speaker on generational dynamics and workforce trends; Mark Lozano, Senior Vice President of Global Relocation and International Recruiting, Wells Fargo, N.A.; Peggy Smith, president and CEO of Worldwide ERC; and Adele Yeargan, Senior Director of Workforce Mobility for AIG International Group.
